Wonderful article by the Sailor Venus Chaka that we had posted a few months ago, and really worth the read!
Shadow Lugia, Ash, and Mewtwo fromPokemon.
Shadow Lugia is from the game Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness.
Lugia was corrupted by the evil Cipher organization, and is said to be the strongest shadow Pokemon. Mewtwo first appeared in thePokemon the First Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back.
And Ash… Well, come on, everyone knows Ash!

Glitch from the Sy-Fy mini series Tin Man.
Based on the Scarecrow from the Frank L. Baum’sThe Wizard of Oz,Glitch is a smart man who needs some help to get his smart out. Despite having had his brain removed, and sometimes repeating himself without knowing it, Glitch still throws around some pretty brainy ideas, busts a martial art move (while simultaneously grooving), and intelligently handles some attitude problems from the other members of his ragtag group.

Old Lace from Marvel’s short lived Runaways series.
Old Lace was a special gift from Gertrude’s time traveling super villain parents. She was a genetically engineered dinosaur from the 87th century that responded to Gert’s emotions and thoughts. It’s handy to have a dinosaur as your pet/mind slave.

Mia here to say sorry for not posting for quite some time. I said I was back, posted four pictures, then disappeared again. I’m sorry! Obscured has been busy making her adorable fleece creations to sell at several craft fairs, and I just started school again.
All I can do is apologize again and promise to try to keep up with this project!

Princess Celestia (as a human) fromMy Little Pony; Friendship is Magic.
This costume is a magnificent example of how to take a character who is an animal or creature and turn it into a human outfit!
Princess Celestia is the ruler of Equestria, the land where all the ponies live in MLP. She lives in Canterlot with her sister, Princess Luna, who was once the dreaded Nightmare Moon.
The princess is one of the very few horse looking characters. Most characters, regardless of age, look like ponies, but Celestia and Nightmare Moon are much more streamlined, and seem more adult.

Princess Vault Dweller (an original character) from the Fallout
series of games.
The explanation given by cosplayer robynnbor667 totally makes this costume.
“From Vault 106, Princess has lost her mind from the psychotropic drugs pumped into her vault. Now she wanders the Wastes, talking to herself and doing the Charleston as she evades Caesar and those goddamn radscorps.”
